The long-term vision?
Deal station - looks much as it was in 1847
Much of this building is unused - and large parts of the surrounding site are derelict, although the station is right next to the town centre.
Could it now be developed to help bring in tourists by rail, to explore the area without their cars, and so help to relieve the town's traffic problems?

Sandwich station is a Grade II listed building
So is the 19th century footbridge and wooden platform shelter.
It was expanded in the 1890s with the golf boom, but it's now very quiet.
Can it again become the main gateway bringing tourists into this amazing medieval town? ...and the route to work for commuters to Discovery Park?
